King George Whiting Project
The intention is to create a series of stainless steel fish and other sea creatures starting with one of my favourite fish, the King George Whiting. I completed a pencil drawing of a large whiting and showed one of my sons-in-law Aaron Chudleigh. He refined the drawing to make it possible to cut using a laser. We ended up cutting just one full sheet in addition to one sample version before cutting the full sheet. Some of these are already in private collections including one medium sized one in Port Lincoln.
I forgot to mention that Aaron also cut me one tiny one that was used as a key-ring.
In the images below, you will see another project, the three snook which are intended to be presented like the traditional three ducks on a wall, a feature of many Australian households in the 60's and maybe earlier.
The background below is looking toward the jetty from Port Broughton (a place I nearly drowned at 7 years of age - a story I will tell in more detail one day).
